GMC Labs Won the Grand Prize in Busan-Hana Card Fintech Challenge

'GMC Labs', the developer of Sirius, participated in the "Fintech Industry promotion agreement" held at Busan City Hall on October 20th.

 

The reason is no other than the grand prize ceremony! About 20 people including the Acting Mayor Byeon Seong-wan, CEO Jang Gyeonghun of Hana Card, representatives of fintech companies, small business owners, merchants' association, tourism industry, etc. attended the ceremony. The 'Busan City-Hana Card Fintech Challenge', a joint project between Busan City and Hana Card, has been promoted as a public offering project since last September targeting companies in U-Space BIFC, a fintech hub center created by Busan City. In the final screening, the 'blockchain-based small amount remittance, currency exchange, and simple payment service' using the multi-channel transaction system proposed by UPCHAIN, BARUM and GMC Labs consortium was finally selected, and a commercial support fund of 10 million won and Busan-Hana Card Fintech and an opportunity to participate as a joint business operator in the Busan-Hana Card fintech agreement project has been provided.

 

In addition, at the event, Busan Acting Mayor Byeon Seong-wan said, "Based on the fintech technology and financial infrastructure accumulated by Hana Card, we expect that the Fintech companies in Busan will have a good opportunity to grow into unicorn companies."

 

Through this agreement, promising fintech companies in Busan have been provided various cooperation opportunities, and I hope that it will become a cornerstone of the public-private cooperative projects in preparation for the post-corona era!
